Hi - I am new the the I6, so I did a compression test on my '67 Mustang yesterday.

Front to back:

120 130 140 140 140 135

The 120 worries me, but I don't know...

Can someone advise me on what you think of the range? Thanks!

I'd say you were ok. Not an engine that you would want to turbo, but perfectly acceptable for use. #1 tends to wear faster anyway because it runs cooler than the rest.

Lime-gold, Jack is right on about your engine.

If you put a turbo on your engine, you will have horendious blowby & a lot of your power will be going right to the crankcase.

You can turbo it but you will not take full benifit of the potential with a tired bottom end.

Do it right the first time. William

Hmmm...how did you know that I am pondering a turbo?

8) jack is a god living amoung mortals:D:D

i agree that your engine is ok for a daily driver. the lowest cylinder is within 20lbs of the highest. but i also agree that if you want a turbo, you need to freshen up that motor before you add one.
