Hey guys, any suggestions on how to lower compression ratio?? Do i need to just junk my head and go for one with lower compression? I'm thinking i have 9.6:1 and i want to go turbo, HARDCORE. I have Forged pistons so with an intercooler i'm ready to boost it. Should i just buy another head?
Also, my car uses 1 quart of oil per tank of gas...out of 4,5,6 because i have completely split dual exhaust and it only smokes out of the driver's side pipe. What could this be? I've done a compression test, and all cylinders are between 175 and 193 psi. maybe bad head/block??
thanks for the help!

Something is definitely wrong if you are burning that much oil. But if your compression test checks out (like it does), I would look for a leak. It could be bad valves, guides, or seals. But also check out your rear main seal, and leaks around the oil pan, etc.

Cannot help much on the oil situation but. On the compression, I would get a thicker head gasket. The Felpro one may help out and be the one you need. With the thickness of the aftermarket gasket and not milling the head any, the compression should come down some.

but the problem is, i already have a Fel-Pro gasket installed and i've already milled the head .075+
Now what do i do??
Also, how do i check for whether it is the valves, valve seals, etc.??
