connecting rod beam width

Does anyone know what the connecting rod beam width is for a 250 rod?

Beam width?

Do you mean the big end width? Small end width? Or somewhere in the middle?
If I recall the big end width is .990". I don't remember the small end off the top of my head.

I'm trying to replace the stock 250 rod with 312 connecting rods. The width of the 312 rod is .872. The stock 250 rod length is 5.88 and the 312 rods are 6.254. Yes I know new pistons are needed, I think the 2.3 Probe pistons have a compression height of 1.09. Now this seems like the easiest way to increase the dwell time of the piston at the top of the stroke.
What do you think?
