I am soon looking to purchase an early 90's F150 4x4 and I got an itch to use a garrot T60 HiFi Turbo I have in my garage. I will be custom fabbing a sheet metal intake and also a custom turbo header. I will be porting the head extensively and I will also have Ed Curtis grind a custom cam for the application. I am using a 70mm Throttle Body with a Pro-M 75mm mass air meter and 42lb injectors. Im looking to run around 15psi through a custom intercooler. I will be running a single 3.5" exhuast all the way back through a borla 3.5" muffler. This is the first time attempting a turbo build on a 6 cyl but it looks easier than the 5.0 and 5.8 mustang projects I have done in the past.

how much HP are you looking at making?
because 42lb injectors sounds like overkill... but that's mainly going by the fact that we rarely need the 19lb injectors...
i could be wrong though

Yea but don't forget that hes only running 6 cylinders. It would equal 8, 32 lbs injector if on a vee eight. 400 hp is what the injectors will beable to supply for fuel. Thats not out of the question with a turbo'd 300. This should work out real good.

Thank you for all your replies. As far as a horse power number Im really not sure because it is going in a 4x4 truck so I am shooting for torque more than anything else. Im hoping for 450-500 lbft or torque. The cam is going to be ground to lean more towards torque than horse power. Like I said this is my first turbo 6 cyl so Im just gonna see what happens. Im sure even if I miss my goal it will still be more than enough for what I need.

guys-
19-24 lb'ers are basically stock (yeah- some are 16), so a 42lb would be good, but I'd wait to run some flow #s first. You say T60 hiFi? Which frame is it- T4 or T3? Some guys get the T3 hifi confused w/ a T4.

42 wouldn't be overkill- provided you had something to drive it. Are you planning on keeping the EEC?

I'm running 55lb on my OHC (in sequential mode) w/ a GT35R turbo- If I can push enough air w/o making excessive heat, I'll be able to make 550hp. 300hp w/ aa T3 on a 300 should be easy...

MAF, you using a 96' EEC-V and wire harness then? or a 95-96 Calf. EEC-V/wire harness? those are the ONLY 300-6's that came with MAF, the others all use EEC-IV no MAF. 42# injectors should suffice but might be too small for 15psi boost (I've got 42# injectors on my 3.8L V6 and with 12psi @ 350rwhp I'm @ ~85% duty cycle) . I'm going with an EEC-V and wire harness off of a 96 f-150 for my turbo/blower setup (haven't decided to us my spare M90 eaton or buy a small t4 turbo yet) for my 89' EFI I6
