Where can I get an assembled Aussie head for a 65 (200)? Also can you step up to a 2 barrel carb? What do you recomend and what else would I need for the conversion?

Thanks

8) check out www.fordsixparts.com i think mike has assembled aussie heads. if not you should be able to buy everything you need through him or his contacts and have your favorite shop assemble everything for you.

You will need the head of course. You also need a Holly carb and carb adaptor, adjustable rocker arms, and a throttle cable and gas pedal or if you are running an auto trans you may want to modify the linkage so you can keep the kickdown. Then you need to cc the head and figure out what comperssion ratio you want to run. Then mill it down as needed then have the head rebuilt and unleaded valve seats installed.

I notice you also asked about headers in another post. Dont forget to install an exhaust port divider, even on the 2V head! Read, read, read the forum. Use the search button on this site. This place is awesome and you will learn tons!!!!!

I just recently finished my 200/straight 6 engine rebuild/Aussie head conversion. I went with a 2 bbl Weber 38 DGAS carb from Clifford, although it is available from other venders. If this is the route you choose to go with, I can give you prices, part numbers and venders that carry the needed parts and kits for throttle and trans kick-down cables. I also went with Cliffords dual headers and port divider. Now I just sold my last (extra) port divider last week. You don't have to buy Clifford's dual headers, but I recommend their port divider, even if you decide not to go with dual headers.
I have kept all of my receipts, so if you need any information, I can hook you up.

Let me know if you need anything.
Ted
