dead link: Duraspark II conversion

Does anyone remember which one this was? Perhaps there are enough of here that have done it we can repost some photos.

I am currently attempting a DSII conversion with a recurve and mike's Dyna module and have been thoughly documenting the process by camera and have a number of high quality pics. I lack a certain amount of technical ability and would be a bit unsure about narrating the process but would love to share what i have when i'm finished and get this sticky or another up for future conversions. Contact me and lets get the DSII "How To" alive again.

Narrating should be straight forward
1. you removed this bolt
(insert pic)
2. added this spring

you put all your photos together and email them to me and I'll help you get it fornatted.

I think some of these "stickies" need to be turned into "Tech Articles"

Well, not too sure how or where I'll post a "How To" thread. :?

FYI, I pulled my DS II yesterday. Tested springs for tension.
DSII20.jpg
Found:
13R Slot, Smaller Spring (Blue) 1/8â€￾ pull = 4 oz./ ¼ lb.
18R Slot,* Heavy Spring 1/8â€￾ pull = 6 lbs.

Had an old industrial 2300 dizzy:
18R Slot, Light Spring, 6 coils 1/8â€￾ = 2 lbs.
13R Slot,* Heavy Spring, 7 Coils 1/8â€￾ = 4 lbs

Had miscellaneous springs lying around:
1/8" = 1 3/4 lbs
1/8" = 3/4 lb

I think I've forgotten 99% of whatever Physics I ever learned. :( Did find that the spring are linear, and the Smaller Spring (Blue) at 1/4" pull = 8 oz. 1/2 lb; 1/2" = 1 lb

Didn't have light/time to check how much the springs stretch when installed. Will do more measuring tomorrow. Gotta get or borrow a tach, so I can check advance. I keep thinking I should have one somewhere in my garage. :? Maybe I can find a Sun Machine. 8)

I'm curious to know how you tested your springs. What sort of measuring devices?
Maybe I can find a Sun Machine
That reminds me I should find out what my cousin is plannin on doing with my Uncle's old Sun Tune Up Center, it's huge but cool.
