Hey all,
I need some help making a decision.
I can get a Versailles with 302, C-4, 9" rear--it was running but has been in a guys back yard for a year. At first he told me 400 would take it but now he's telling me that was just for the rear. He wants 600 for the complete car minus the intake and carb. He says he put them on new.
I like the idea of a 9" rear with disc brakes but I've found out the lower tie rod hole in the front spindle is the wrong size. I thought they were the same as the Granada but according to the Mustang Plus web site they are not.
I could get the whole car and just transfer over the drive train 302, C-4, 9' rear and get some granda spindles to complete the swap or---
I found an 8" from a 70 coupe. It also has the front spindles for a drum brake set-up. He want 350 for these and an late 70's 200 complete minus carb.
I like my 6 and I know you guys are going to tell me to stick with it but what is really the best choice. Will the V-8 disc, disc set-up greatly improve the value of my car over the 6 with a T-5 and 8" with 5 lug wheels.
I can get all the performance parts from a close friend, co-worker and fellow forum member 68coupe for my 6. He's going the V-8 route.
Undecided,
