Same with our sixes. Centre percussion mounts (3-bolters per side) came in in the late 60's, and early Ford I6 200's missed out on extra bolt holes. I've found that you can just add a 6 mm (1/4") steel plate, and this makes them the same width as our later 200/250 engines, plus you can fit a nut or drilling to hold the three bolt engine mounts. All our sixes had the same bellhousing bolt spacings for the 27 years after 1966.
Aussie cars had rear mount sumps in Cortinas which were similar to the Fox body cars. They also had different suspension and engine mounting details, so when you order headers for them, you get lots of questions.
We have to drill out the rear dipstick hole too. Early sixes to 1972 never had these holes, and any drilling goes through one of the engine numbers stampled on the back. The rear mount boss apeared in 1972, and stayed untill 1993.
Some versions have the big crankcase vent if its pre-clean air act (1968).
