Dizzy

I am looking to buy a newer dizzy to put in the mustang since my advance isn't working. I have about $30 to spend on one. What kind should I look for on ebay? I saw a post on here about a granada DSII dizzy. Would that be a good one?

I have the Holley/Weber carb from stovebolt and pertronix electronic ignition.

8) i would head for the salvage yard and pick up a duraspark dist from any fairmont, maverick, mustang, granada, or their mercury counterparts with the inline six. any duraspark dist from any 200/250 will do just fine. the years you want to look for are 1975-1983.

You can buy a new at auto zone for 50 bucks.

If $30 is your budget all you can do is fix the advance in yours or get an identical used one that works and you can then transfer all your good bits like the petronix and such. You could luck out and get a dizzy for $30 but that aint gonna get you a cap, rotor, wires, module, ect......

I got my complete used DSII setup from a junkyard for about that much. You will probably want to replace the cap and rotor but you can always do that after you get it running.
