Guys, I searched and found info on this but I am still a little confused. I am wiring the DS2 with and MSD box. I believe I have all but one of the wires done correctly per the tech section article. The only wire that is confusing me is the thin red wire that is connected to some kind of cap labeled Tach and C+. The diagram shows the thin red wire going to the cap side with the label C+. I do not have this cap so can someone tell me what this wire goes to? Thanks

OK. Here is my set-up. I am running a DS2 with a MSD Blaster2 Coil and an MSD 6200 Ignition Control unit. I also replaced all the plug wires with MSD 8mm plug wires.

This is how I ran the wires.

1. Dist: I cut off the factory connector. I cut-off the white/Black wire. I ran the orange wire to the violet wire off the Ignition Unit. I did the same taking violet to green.

2. Control Unit: Thick red to + terminal on battery. Thick Black grounded to block. White thin taped off. Thin red to switched power. Thin orange to + coil. Thin black to - coil.

I am not getting any spark???

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

Bob

I'd run the heavy black wire from the MSD box to the battery NEG -, it may not get a good enough ground off the engine block.

Also, I'd check to make sure the thin red wire from the MSD box is hooked to a full 12v ignition source(that also has power during cranking), not the resistance wire.

If that doesn't work, I'd say maybe your pickup in the dist isn't working, unless you had it running before the MSD install.
