Howdy Stephen:
Welcome to the forum.
"Better" can mean many different things. Are you talking about a better image? Performance? sound? durability? cost? weight? What's your criteria for better?
And the complete exhaust system needs to be considered. Do you have a header or a stock cast manifold? Are you planning to have header in the future? Dual outlet, or single?
What other mods have you done? What do you have planned?
IMHO- duals on an otherwise stock rig add nothing but cost, weight and higher maintainance. If I were in your shoes and needed to repair my current exhaust system, I'd replace it all with a 2" or 2 1/4" single exhaust system, including a turbo type muffler. I'd mount the muffler as far back as possible. This will be a nice noticeable improvement over your stock system, give a nice sound, and be a good foundation for adding a header in the future. Your stock 250 cast exhaust manifold has a 2" outlet. If you were to, at least, match that with the rest of the system, you'd notice a decrease in underhood temp as well.

That's my two cents, for what it's worth.
