Dul Exhaust Setup

The guy at the shop said that I am going to have to run my dual exhaust side by side underneath the passenger side of the car. I wanted to have one pipe exit on each end of the rear axle. Would running the pipes side by side have any effect on the sound? Can you guys please post some pics of how you did your dual exhaust setup?

I'm just about to do the exhaust for my 250 Mustang and I've just started my research. Just curious, but why can't he run the exhaust straight out the back?? I've seen a few Mustangs with side pipes and I kinda like how it looks...

Here is a post about my exhaust with pics. The morons in the muffler shop welded on the headers to the exhaust piping. In the future I'll add flanges in there to make removal easier.
