Early Ford Bronco Motor Mounts

Welp........the early Bronco suppliers try and pass off a Falcon/Mustang type of motor mount for a Bronco. In my case a 1966 (170 cu in). A little 1/2 fine thread bolt instead of the correct 3/4" course thread. Chaps my hide.....the deception. The Bronco requires double steel as well. I called the supplier (they all sell the same one). He said just put a big washer on and bolt it up.
What a clown.

Do any of you know a source of new motor mounts?

Regards,
mike

The only new mount I know of was sold at one time by BC Broncos but it was heavy duty not an oe kind.

yeah, I'm pretty sure there wuz not a Bronco specfic motor mount.
Can U B a lill more focused describing what U mean?

I use the term 'tower' re: that prt on the frame
&
'mount' for that on the engine.
Example:
The tower on bent8 is same bronk to 'stang to falcon, etc. by yr.

"...it was heavy duty not an oe kind…."
& wasn't it only 4 da 302/351?

Thanks lads. I'll take pix tomorrow and post..........if I can figure out how. The factory mounts are pretty stout. The younger crowd thinks the Broncs came with car mounts, not light truck mounts. I can understand why they don't get it...........they apparently have now seen a factory correct one.

"...they apparently have now seen a factory correct one…"
is that a misprint? (now vs not)?
I assume ur Down Under (pure assumption)?

"...by BC Broncos…"
Tom's, WH, Jeff's etc - all the typical vendors (4 - 5 more) sell the mounts/brackets (or towers), some have those prts for
6 cyl AND the 460 and 351/302. Again, they look like any that Ford used for this purpose. I may still be missinterprating ur Q/statement.
Can U clarify?

Hi, I just found my Wild Horses catalog. They have 8022 standard 6 motor mounts and 8019 6 extreme motor mounts. I do not know if they are the correct Bronco mounts.

Yes, they R correct for a bronk, and therefore I bet they wrk in a sedan/coupe.
Just make sure it's correct to the engine family.
U can go to any of the typical bronk after mrkt houses (T'sB, J'sBGY, BCB, WH, LMC, etc, etc) just as I go to all the 'stang places for some of my searches. Go 2 their online catelogues & view the pic of the items. These older vehicles were pretty basic so things DO swap around. Makin friends w/a welder or fabricater helps too (often less $ to produce nxt door than frm these national bronk/'stang houses).

I'm hopin to find a junk frnt bench 4 my bronk this way. Want big bucks 4 one 4 a bronk. I just need a set of frames/springs w/adjuster. I can make a brace (1 ft high?) for the pass. side…

Keep talkin ~
