EBAY 2V chrome anyone?

No Bids. Can you believe that!

I'd buy it but what would I do with two motors and three heads? ( Got a spare head already).
They say one man's junk is another man's treasure.

Are you Zaphod Beeblebrox?

We should clean that head up, Mark!

Re: the Adelaide motor - someone buy it!

Theres a bid on it now. Still 5 days left so i might wait to see what she gets up to.
Hell every good Cortina needs a chrome inlet right

Do you mean a chrome 2v inlet manifold?Nice! By the way if you want chrome theres a genuine chrome rocker cover down at U Pullit elizabeth. Its the first genuine one I've seen.

Just noticed it's apparently got the OEM aircon bracket and tensioner that works with extractors. :hmmm:

Does that bracket fit a Sanden compressor? If so, is any bidder interested in onselling the two pieces there? Any drawbacks with my guessing?

Cheers, Adam.

Is it in good nic Green Machine? I can get hold of it pretty easierly.
Thanks for the heads up.

Addo if i buy this motor you can have the air cond stuff. All depends on what it reaches as finances are crap ATM and thats less money for the current motor
but it would be cool to see her look at her pretty self in her very own mirrored inlet :hmmm:

Hey Greenmachine you interested in this at all. You have a 2V head yet?

If only I had a 2V...... All my work has been done on a log but its about to be turboed in the next month so it doesn't matter. The rocker cover is in good nick its the best one I've seen. It is on a XB falcon at the back of U Pullit in the Ford rows on the left... Hopefully its still there.

Hey Addo, car's going down to my brother's in Melbourne for some work over christmas.

I'll get the head done then. I have also had the rear seat retrimmed and the old girl is looking great.

I'll give you a call in net couple of days to see if we can finally catch up befor ehte car heads south for a few months.

Steve - gonna pop a number on that motor? I want that bracquet pair!

Seriously - for posterity - I will pay $50 plus postage for the mount bracket and tensioner if they're undamaged and can fit/be made to fit a Sanden compressor.

Mark - I'm snowed under up to the 28th inclusive, but hope to see Melbourne again this side of 2006. We'll work something out.

You dont need air in Sydney do ya Addo?
Sorry but its out of my would like to pay price range and going off my knowledge of ebay the guy whos got the current highest bid hasn't got any feedback which means he joined the evilbay crew just for this motor  He mustn't realise how many there are lying around.

But in all seriousness Another complete 2V i can get my hands on cheap i will pass on to you guys if anyones interested.
Its stock 2V head plus manifold and possibly a carby?
Rebuilt and balanced bottom end. Rebuilt by Dave Adams here in SA  Never fired and is complete. All pumps, dizzy etc.
Not sure on flywheel, starter or exhaust manifold SOrry but ill ask my mate whats on it and a price. Probally $1000 or less.
PM if interested thanks Steve

Finally! Struck a deal on the brackets with the motor's buyer.

Aircon gets closer (not before time, it seems, too)...

Yeah sorry Addo my computer was MIA for 3 weeks due to a virus.
Damn computer nerds sick for revenge
Good to here it worked out in the end. Who wants to discuss how much power Addo's going to loose?

Love the rain!

Blasters and platers kick off again next week. I might try to see how it will go with a Sanden compressor first, in case any tickling up is needed.

Thanks to Steve and Brownman!
