Edelbrock valve cover I just found with modified log head.

Well I just bought a 1972 250 engine that has a modified large log head for three carbs and Edelbrock finned valve cover. This is the second time I have found a rare valve cover close to me. I bought a engine a couple years ago with a finned valve cover the had Falcon cast into it. The valve cover is in amazing shape and the head looks good also. Enjoy.

Forged pistons, 280/280 114 solid cam, DIzzy II, Turbo with Will's turbo manifold, Billet steal flywheel, FiTech EFI, intercooler, Possible finding new forged rods that are close and machine them to fit.

That should be a real nice combo of parts! on the Rods the early 300's are good Forged ones, C5 used from 1965 to about 1969 good strong Rod that's a little longer then a 250 Rod for less cylinder wall loading. All they would need is reagular rebuild prep polished beams, ARP rod bolts etc. Another idea that have been thinking about for a drag race / Hi performance build up is a custom rod that uses the Honda rod bearing size 1.88. This could reduce some more friction in the rotating assembly along with the new custom forged pistions using the newer style Metric ring packs. It would also allow the crankshaft to be offset ground for a little extra stroke too, don't know yet all that it would cost. Good luck on your 250 build.

Probably not. All these nice looking valve covers are cast. Which means heavy.
All the Real valve covers by the big three are die cast & are 1/4 the weight & most of them have deflectors for proper rocker arm oiling & all have oil control for the PCV & do not need a baffled PCV grommet which still does not do the job.
That's why I went back to the stamped steel OEM cover.
The oil control can be done by raising the PCV valve 3" above the baffled grommet.
One plus they are almost leak proof.

That can be done. I have Yella Terra rockers on my CI cover. I epoxied my baffles in and I recently checked them after a few thousand miles and working well.
