Thankyou G/Spack

hey, good see a fellow ohc person on here, i was starting to feel lonely.

mate the best and cheapest option is to go turbo.

i did about 3-4 years ago, and have never looked back.

give us some info on ur ef and i'll be able to tell you where to go from here. what mods are done to it now, what are looking for in ur car, how much money do you want to spend ??

let us know and we'll be able to help out a bit more.

i noticed ur from brisbane, well i am on the gold coast, head to fastfords.org. i run a s.e queensland car club, love to see you become another member, and have you come out on one of our weekly cruises, i'll be able to yak on about what to do with ur ef in more detail then.

if your going the turbo route,, you'll need another engine  i got a 700hp ready ef/au engine for sale check the for sale section on here.

cheers.joe.

the car is top of the range XR6 with the works(what ever that means)other than that it hasn;t been touched! Also i've got a older car . TD GS cortina, 250ci 2V pre cross. Car is basicly mint condition and goes like a bat out of hell. i'll be very interested to meet with other people and work out what i can do to the engine which is in the car as it is a strong motor. hear from you soon

cheers GSpack[/b]

Another option is Supercharging? No need to make up an Exhaust manifold, Just use a good set of extractors etc. I think CAPA do a 300kw kit nowadays :D

doesn't need another engine depending on his power needs;
ZOOM magazine did an article series called workhorse wakeup. about 220 kw at the wheels with ooodles of torque, sstandard xr6 engine retuned comp two rb20 bb turbos. like i said depends on your power needs

not everione wants or is willing to go to 700hp

pumbaplus:_

yes i know i was just making the comment about the engine in jest, i wasnt being serious.

a simple n/ trestment will see you in the low 14 sec bracket.

extractors, 2.5 mandrll high flow exhaust, a wade cam, cai set up, headporting, sight increase in compression, chip you can net a 14.0-14.5 sec quater and have fuel economy comaprable to a stock efi 5.0 windsor.

you can get it n/a into the 13's but it gets $$$$$

best bang for buck is turbo.

cheers.joe.
