A 1974 mustang will have disc brakes , but they did have EFI back then.

Most of the factory systems were difficult to tune and did not have a lot of range in them, especially the 80's and 90's stuff. Most cases you had to remove the 'chip' put it in a chip reader, make your changes (usually not in a nifty windows like screen), then 'burn' the chip, reinstall, and see if it is doing what you wanted. Starting around 2000 they got pretty advanced and with the right software and hardware interface the factory systems could be manipulated much more than the earlier stuff could. That is why things like Megasquirt were so popular because they could be configured to run anything and tuned real time if needed. Recently there seems to be many systems on the market that are just about plug and play and self tuning. Obviously the plug and play stuff is for V8's so that does not help us much. Our biggest issue is still the log. Without modification it only likes a 1bbl and since it does not come off its hard to mount multi port injectors.

thanks for the info, i did no think about the log still being there. I was between running triple carbs or EFI. i really like the three crab setup. i am leaning towards it more so now.
However i still think i might grab the mustang II for the front suspension and brakes, do you know if the is anything else i might be able to use from it?

V6 and V8 Stang IIs usually had 8 inch rear end with 4 lug axles.

thanks for the info. if i get the mustang ii as a parts car i can use an 8.8 rear end that i have also, i believe it is the same lug pattern as the mustang ii. the 8.8 is a 3.27 limited slip. and for a $500 parts car i think i can use enough parts to make it a great deal.
