fluidseal has a lot of differnt types of seals Ill go there if rebuilding things like hydraulic cylinders and need to match up seals.
british hydraulics is fairly small and local but they are relly nice to deal with and Ill often send them any hydraulic cylinders for rebuilding, they can chrome cylinder parts and work to tight tolerances. if Im faced with complicated hydraulic troubleshooting I call in their experts, you likely have a comparable cylinder expert rebuilder in your area but I included them anyway, as Ive had lots of good transactions.
Mcmaster - carr is I believe US based and they have a huge catalog.
many of these places have online catalogs that you can download and look through.
for a lot of my auto parts Il'll just order from rockauto, they have a good catalog and often quite a few choices of makers thus quality,
I find many others have different systems of shipping but I never get caught up in brokerage issues , the parts seem to come pretty fast. quality is id say , buyer beware. theres a lot of offshore stuff too.
canadian tire is a common source in Canada, they traditionally have had lower prices and were traditionally a good parts distributor but lately Ive been finding I'll walk in there and when they know the date of my vehicle they will tell me it's obsolete even for simple items like spark plugs. ;-)
buying from FORD I dont know Ive never been successful when I have gone to a dealer I was faced with rediculous pricing but maybe others have good ford specific links. Does anyone still actually buy parts for old Fords directly through Ford?
