I am almost done with my front discs and hope to finish this weekend. BUt..while cruising around the yards I located a 250 6cyl (I think)..low mount starter with the following numbers Just sitting on a crate..so I wrote them down....

HEAD C9DE-6090-M
ENG C9DE-6015B

Anythoughts on this??

As long as we are talking head numbers....Does anyone know what this one is?

D7BE 6090 AB

Is is suppose to be a 77 250 Head. I checked the Ford Six website, but can't get a match.....

Anyone??????

Jammer,
250's have a four bolt water pump.
Also deck height is about 9 1/2" versus about 7 3/4" on 144/170/200 blocks.
According to Block Id in David and Dennis's book it's a 68-71 'all compact vehicles' 250.
FWIW

I called the guy back and it was from a 69 mustang and someone came out and bought the car, pulled the engine..left it on the crate and went home with the car and all the other stuff.

Is this engine (or some parts like the head or exhaust manifold) even worth a look at. (I am thinking a mild build) ...while I am still running my 200. I'm sure the engine will be cheap..but I am also starting to build a small iron scrap pile in my yard, what with rear end, old tranny, front spindles, control arms, radiator, etc.
