Engine runs well except for one thing:

It is running well with the exception of a small problem after I rev the engine. The engine will be idling smoothly, I will rev the engine, and then the RPM's will drop below the normal idle speed for a second then return to normal idle speed. It is a 2bbl Holley carburetor with an electric choke on my 1968 200ci 6cyl engine. I checked the timing twice, it is accurate. What could be causing this temporary drop of RPM's? Someone has said that my distributor may not be compatible with the carburetor. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Justin

I increased the fuel mixture...that solves the flaming backfire through the carburetor and the RPM drop.
