Even-fire?

Are the 200 and 250 engines even-fire or odd-fire engines. Also, what is a semi-even fire engine?

I am thinking about using that Mallory Unilite I found, but need to pick up a cap and rotor. Well, the part number Mallary lists for the rotor is MAL-323 and the part that Summit carries (I am fortunate enough to be driving distance from Summit) is the MAA-323A. The only difference I see is the Summit description says it is for even-fire engines only. The Mallory catalog does not say...

ALL inline 6 engines from any manufacturer anywhere in the world are even-fire. The even-fire/odd-fire thing only comes into play on 90° V6 engines like the GM 231.

From what I understood about even-fire/odd-fire, I couldn't figure out how a inline could be odd-fire, but the disclaimer in the Summit catalog had me scratching my head. I though maybe I missunderstood the whole concept.

I will admit, however, that I am still hazy on what "semi even-fire" means...

At least I can go straight to Summit for the parts instead of ordering online.
