anyone know if a dual outlet header will hook up to a standard dual exhaust system, or will it have to be modified?

The dual outlet header exits on one side, so yes, it will require some modifications....

Custom exhaust shops seem to be in abundance in my area and they are are cheaper and of better quality than a kit. You might want to get an estimate before your clamp together a kit.
