Hey guys, I've got a problem. I can tighten up my exhaust at the exhaust flange. Problem is, the studs are so rusty that they just strip every time I put a wrench to it. Is it possible to re-stud it or should I just look for another manifold. Thanks in advance.

What?

The studs are so rusty that they strip when you put a wrench to them?

Do you mean that the nuts are rounding off, or that the threads on the studs themselves are stripping ?

To replace them, hack them off and drill them out. Tap the holes for whatever size stud you want to use.

The stud threads are stipping off.

I can drill and tap, just didn't know if that was advisable.

Well, it's really your only option. I've done it before with success and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
