Exhaust question for a friend

one of my friends her locally in town has a 68 mustang with a 250 he wants to upgrade the exhuast when i showed him mysystem with aa dynomax turbo and 2.25 inch pipe he didnt like the the sound he was looking at getting a flowmaster 40 and a 2.25 single exhaust. i know the 40 series can be annoying if coupled with dual exhaust without an h pipe however is it better with only a single exhaust.

ps. he doesnt mind the flowmaster drone.

forgot something the only concern if the 40 will make the car sound like it has a trash can toyota muffler on it.

I have a single out on my 200 and there is no drone to speak of at moderate speed. Not very noisy inside either. It starts to drone at 80. I like it.

I've heard garbage cans and they don't sound a thing like a Flowmaster. Now a Toyota might sound like a Tupperware waste receptacle, but I don't think that's a muffler problem.

i though you had a 40 series on your car ludwig but i wasnt sure however he was pretty set on the flowmaster 40 to begin with i didnt want to burst his bubble right away because the complaints i heard of the with 40 were all with dual pipes i havnt heard one with a single pipe when he gets it done tomarrow i will post a sound clip for the record.
