Hey guys, Now that im clear of backfire problems I would like to get a new exhasut system. The one I had was jiggerigged like mad...was hanging and scrapped the ground when i went over bumps and was clamped to high hell. I just want the whole system replaced. I would like to put a 40 series flow on it. Does a muffler shop require you to have cats on it? Im not the best when it comes to exhaust, also how much do you think it would cost to get a new exhaust system with 40 series flows put on? :?

I got quoted $150 for my setup for dual exhaust with 2 Dynomax Superflows at Midas, but I'm not going there. The people there are asshats and refuse to order the Dynomax though they said they could over the phone.

unless you got some really messed up emission laws, then you shouldn't have to have cats on your car, if it came from the factory with cats, yes, you are supposed to have cats, but if not, then i don't think you should

I had a custom exhaust built at a place here in town, with 2 Flowmaster and 2 " pipes all the way back. It came off my dual out header. They had to make new hangers since teh car was obviously built with that lame single exhause transverse mounted muffler. It was not cheap, I think somewhere around the $400 range. But wiht all the rest of the money I spent building the motor, I did nto want to skimp. Plus I had heard good things about the shop, and prefer to pay a littel more to get it done right the first time.

I have some pictures I can e-mail you if you want.
