fast help needed for engine swap 64 falcon

Hey everyone,

I bought a 73 maverick and was told the engine was a 200 it is not. It is a 250 who can help me with 250 swap to a 64 falcon. Will the engine mount line up? is the hood clearance going to work? Any help would be great and I am going to pull the engine, rear end and front spindles in the morning and it would be great to end my search for an engine, now. But lif it will not fit I would like to know now and keep looking for the engine. Please feel free to leave thoughts and info

the '64 is pretty much the same engine bay as a mustang, right?

Does10s says that he had no problems installing a 250 in a '63 falcon

8) the 250 should fit just fine. about the only problem is hood clearance due to the taller block. the intereference is usually at the aircleaner, and there are little tricks you can use to gain clearance, like changing the bolt hole locations on the motor mounts to let the engine sit a bit lower, and using a low profile, or dropover aircleaner to lower the overall height of the engine. i am going to use a 250/C4 combo in my 64 falcon when the time comes.
