We have a fellow member needing some help with his YF, assuming that's the model. Does anyone have any information we can provide to him so that his car runs better than the current condition? Upgrading to a 2BBL is currently out of the question as well as a Pony carburetor.

How do you tune the YF? I had one before my 2 BBL upgrade and it never worked reliably. Surely, someone knows much more about these carburetors than myself and the other guy.

I don't want to mention any names so please don't quiz me. We just need some advice and pointers. Or is there a more trouble free model out there that some can sell to him cheap?

Thanks.

stang,

Spyke has an 1100 for sell in the appropriate post. If Chaz can get by without a very good choke he can get my 1940 from me cheap. It ran really good but the choke didn't work very well but after it warmed up it wasn't a problem.

Thanks Bob, I'll pass that information onto the "appropriate individual".

Just a by word or two. And I don't mean this specifically towards anyone.

We all know something about these classics. I think rather than just telling someone how to do something, sometimes it takes alittle more. After all, even the most descriptive instructions can be a little difficult. Not knocking anyones intellegence, but it's the truth. Heck, even some of the most gifted minds can't grasp social behaviors or even how to tie there own shoes.

Anyway, thanks again fellas.

Thanks for the beautiful words of praise, Chris. I'll treasure them all day.

I was once admonished by an elderly rancher in all seriousness to never hire a man who smoked or wore lace-up boots, because he would always be either rolling a cigarette or tying his shoes

that's not true!
ya just tuck the laces in the boot and you're good to go, doesn't come loose all day

dunno 'bout the smoking thing though...
