any body famillar with the intranational scouts?

Will a us 250 fit in a 1968 scout 800?

It should fit fine, but it will be a custom installation. You'll need to fabricate mounts, brackets, everything. For a 4x4, I would think a 300 would be a better choice.

wouldent I half to cut the fire wall ?
What kind of mileage could I expect out of a 300 in a little scout with a Ford Toploader overdrive ford 9"limited slip 4.10 gears,
I would use a cam that runs 1000-3800 and up shift around 3000 rpm
the tires would be 33"x10"x15"rim
longer connecting rods 1:6 rocker ratio, 275 cfm carburater I would run lean advance the timming with a hot ignition system, run it on 92 octaine.

Basically a Scout body and chassie whith everything else ford...

The other truck I am considering is a 1985 F-250 4x4 ex cab 8 foot bed four speed manual whith same gearing and tranny as above
