I've consulted a place in Argentina that manufactures forged pistons, they can custom make a set. I just need to send them the specs that I need. I'm thinking of ordering a set but I still don't have all specs I should give them. I want them to be a bolt-on, no major mods done to the block or con-rods.
These are the specs I have:
-Oversize .040 Inch
-3.72" Bore
-Rings Grooves (2) 5/64" And (1) 3/16"
-1.50" Compression Distance
-Recessed Head .105" Deep x 2.320" Dia.
-Wrist Pin diameter and leght ???????
-Anything else ????
Also one more thing, this is for a nitrous application, should I order them flat top or dished, I'm currently using between 10:1 and 10.5:1 with dished pistons and a 280H cam.
These are the approximate costs they gave me:
-Forged pistons (6) $300
-Forged wrist pins (6) $60
-Wrist pin locks (12) $7
-Moly rings (set) $50
I'm really looking forward to doing this, but I don't wanna get it wrong
Thanks guys!
