Took that mutilated head to a guy kinda out in the boonies. He is a nice guy, a little serious about his beer but okay. Anyway I took my head to him and he said "hell yes I can do it". Anyway, I got it back today and all and all I am pretty pleased. He might have dropped or hit it at a slight angle with his cutter, cause there is a nick about a 1/16th of an inch deep and about a 1/2 long at the base, but nothing that will effect sealing and I didn't mention it to him--he did a fair job and I felt it was worth the $100.00 he asked for---besides he has to restock that fridge in the shop with that good beer. Anyhoo, it is something I can begin to mock up an intake and exhaust too. I took Mikey's advice and shaved the whole works. Think I will try to take a couple pieces of 2x4 and try to fab and line up a fake setup complete with portholes and also where some studs might best fit to the intake and exhaust. When I got home I took a couple of those big spring loaded squeeze clamps and put one of those 1.9 fuel injected manifolds up to it and--man if I can make this thing work it is going to look great..the injectors line up perfectly with the plenums 'angle wise anyway'. I will have to cut it and have it re-welded to line up perfectly but my guy in the boonies says "I can't weld or fab aluminum, but I damn sure know a fella who can!"
