Fuel Line In The Carb - Leak?

So we just got our carb taken apart and cleaned and put back together by some shop, and put it back on this morning. We placed the fuel line on, with the extension or "fitting", and its leaking gas out where the fuel line connects to the Carb. We put plummers tape on it and tightened the fitting in the carb, then we put plummers tape on the fuel line and tightened that into the fitting. No matter what we do it leaks out gas when we start the car.

Are they any possible scenarios as to why it is leaking? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks alot.

Teflon tape won't fix everything

Its possible the fittings are just worn out.

If we are talking about an 1100, mine has an adaptor that threads into the carb and the filter threads into that. Between the carb and adaptor there is a gasket/washer that came in my rebuid kit. From what I could tell the adaptor was to go from a standard thread in the carb to the tapper pipe thread of the filter.
