Do to all the fuel pump quality problems, has anyone tried to change/ swap pump arms from a 289 or 390 pump with an arm from the small 6 pump. There are a lot more options with the v8. I am thinking the guts would be the same just a different arm. šŸ¤”

check GPM on each, compair.
Also PSI
I think we need 3 - 7 psi...?
There R some electrics that low but these will run w/o an inertia
switch after mishaps, when engine is not running or during accidents
pumping fuel onto fires and such. An eglebrok sittin on a prostock street did just such
on Fri, last. A ā€˜ā€™52’ Cheb puā€. Dropped a socket, spark @ +/- cables, fire w/o explosion. Damn
the builder - no shut off switch (on ele OR fuel & battery under cab). They make anything, their new
owners bring um in - ā€œCan U get this new rig running/stoppin right for me?ā€ (originally a transmis issue)!
We were draining the gass out of the spark plug holes as assembled the carb just FLOODS out of the engine.

Oddly, I've never had an issue with the pumps from O'Reilly's, and I've used their pumps on the several engines I've had in the car (289, 351, 250). Don't know if that helps at all but thought I'd chip it in.
