Fuel Pump

I'm trying to buy a new fuel pump for my Falcon, the 200 six i put in it,is from a 1964 Fairlane,NOBODY can find one the pump was used from 1963 to 1965 Fairlanes only (i'm told) every pump i have looked at for a 200 six is different than this particular pump. there is a picture of the pump i need in the NAPA computer part#M4004 but the warehouse keeps sending a different pump and saying it will work 'they are all the same' but when i try to match up the pumps the levers are at different angles. now i have had one on National back order for 3 weeks,it finally gets here and it's again the wrong one.is there a pump from another 200 that will work? it does not have to look like the original just operate as the original. i really dont want to have to use an electric pump but i will if these car parts places cant get their act together

sounds fascinating. There shouldn´t be any interchangeability problems on the small US sixes. can you give me the measurements and angle of the desired pump arm?

I think they're sending you a BB6 or 250 pump. They've probably crossed the Fairlane listing with fullsize, which did run a BB6 option.

BTW, you can swap arms and always could look for a rebuildable type. As long as the mount ears match, and the distance from pivot to diaphragm hook is the same, swap away.

Cheers, Adam.
