i put a glass pack on my car about a month ago but now im considering swaping it out for a thrush turbo. everything from the head pipe back has been replaced. the mufler is in the middle of the car, would it help if i move the muffler to the back of the car. my exhaust dumps out right before the axle.

my ears cant take much more :x

8) yes it would help to move the tail pipe exit to the back of the car. you can also get an exhaust tip that has a small glasspack muffler built in that will also reduce exhaust noise as well. i have used them to great effect. i like the ones with dual tips.

the tail-end of the muffler has two sections of pipe and a turn down on it i dont have just the bare muffler and no tail pipe.

It will still help a lot. The body of the car traps and amplifies the sound if it exits underneath.

ok thanks, and one more thing i need to move the exhaust sysytem up a few more notches but im afraid that the muffler will rattle against the body. it did that when i first installed it and i had to lower the exhaust system down

heres how mine are mounted they dont rattle against the mav body and have plenty of ground clerance.

they sounded awesome with dumps before the axle but it was a v8, the 200ci i'm working on sounds like a tractor with its magnaflow muffler which is almost like a glasspack i will be replacing it soon.
