GREAT webpage on the Carter YF carb

This guy made a lot of things clear(er) for me tonight when I rebuilt a YFA, especially how vacuum on the backside of the accelerator pump controls how high the rod inside the jet is, which determines rich / lean based on engine load.

Ingenious Design those Carter boys came up with!

That is a great web site thanks. Also shows me why the Carter YF carbs don't handle it well when they sit unused for awhile- that whole pump diaphram/lifter assembly gets gummed up when the fuel dries up or varnish builds up and doesn't want to move freely.

X2 Great link for usually HTF Carter YF info :thumbup:

ditto gum issues ...especially with ethanol mix (aka varnish by the gallon :bang: )
