Has anyone used this for cable throttle conversion?

Cobra

I used a throttle cable and a trans kick-down cable made by a company called Lokar. Their prices seemed reasonable and their products come highly recommended. Once I got the cables, it took me all of 20 minutes to figure out what to do.
I also went with the Lokar gas pedal, which made things even easier for me.
I was hesitant to mess around with the solid mechanical linkage and tried to jury-rig some parts together, but in the long run, the Lokar carbles were the best looking and easiest to put together.
Hope this helps some.

If you would like, I can email you some pictures of my set up, even though it is a work in progress. LOL

I looked at the lokar system, but unsure if I could use my current set up. I'm hesitant about getting rid of my stock pedal and stuff. I'm not worried about losing the rod, just don't want to get rid of the pedal and stuff.

some pictures would be great. I have to figure something out before I put the Aussie head on.

I put a Mav 250 in my 66 stang, using the kickdown bar from the mav. I was going to use the Mav pedal and cable, but it was an inch too short. Instead, I pulled an identical cable (but 2 inches longer) from a 4cyl 92 mustang in the junkyard. the cable and pedal together cost $3, and it took about 30 min to get it installed in a comfortable position. Works great.

Nate.
