i have some dings and the rear quarter is a little banged up around the well well on both sides. could someone with some experience maybe give me an estimate on how much you think it might cost. i know none of ya'll have seen it but maybe just a little estimate. i can email you pictures if that would help but i don't know how to post them.

also i would like to know if anybody has installed the headers AZcoupe is selling with A/C. i saw what inline fever did but i have the stock system with the compressor over the alt.

have any of you put in the gt rear valance with the exaust holes and how much did it run you to have the exaust shop run the exaust through there and some good ideas on mufflers that sound good.

have any of you replaced entire floor plans? if so could you give me a few tips maybe?

i'll have at least $1500 by the end of summer and was hoping to have the floor pans done and a little modding to the engine plus the exaust done. then start fixing the body over winter and paint it next summer.

ps-have mig welder for floor pans. thanks in advance

Well, I give a shot at this:

1. As for the rear quarter panel, i had a patch that I bought from Mustangs Unlimited. I don't know how much the damage is on your's but it was like $22 for me to do. You can see pics of the work and setup here:
http://barishiman.tripod.com/second_pics.htm (its at the bottom of the page and continues on the second batch of pics)

2. I don't have AZcoupe's header, but would like too. I have the same problem you do. I've got the stock A/C but am leary of installing the header. Just by pictures, the Clifford header looks to have more room near the compressor than AZCoupe's, but hey that's just pictures. If someone does have them installed, i would like to know too.

3. As for mufflers, some like Flowmaster while others like Dynomax. I prefer Dynomax and plan to put those on my mustang soon. A ballpark figure of $300 on the exhaust, but I could be wrong.

4. Floor pans = I would suggest talking to Slade (CobraSix). His website shows new floor pans installed by Mid County Mustang. Check this link out:

Good luck man, I've had my mustang for six years and I'm still putting money into. Jezzz....

I have the headers... installing them now.
I also have AC, but it is the sanden unit from Classic Auto Air... and we welded extensions for clearance (AZCOUPE has an article in the tech section on his site).

As for the exhaust... have not run that yet, but I did buy a 65 GT valance with backup lights for bout 40.00 and the hardware... nother 65.00 and the stock GT exhaust tips... nother 35.00...
I have about 350.00 in the budget for the exhaust... but that will probably run more.. everything else has.

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks.. getting the engine back and all during the 4th....

man, six years. i've only had mine a year and it took that long to get it running ok, so i guess i'm in on the long haul with you and many others on here. thanks for the help. slades floor pans sure do look nice, mine look like **** cause the PO bought the right floor pans but just cut off pieces and pop riveted them into place. you can see rivets everywhere.

i thought about replacing the quarter but i can't do that and i'm pretty sure i don't wanna try. there's a guy in town that's supposed to be an expert on mustangs and i asked him when he could do and he said he was booked for 1 1/2 years  (i'm not that patient) so i was hoping i could get a body shop to just beat it out.

i've heard dynomax were good so i'll probably get those or aerochambers(have you heard anything about aerochambers)?

one more question. have any of you replaced door skins? how did that go? thanks again

I have headers on mine, but I have NO AC so I can't help you there. My headers go 6 into 2 right out of the block and I have dual stainless steel lines running to 2 Flowmasters and I love them! I haven't ever had dynomax, but I think it is mainly just a personal preference thing - like I said, I love the flowmasters on mine, and when it comes up again, I'll run 'em just like I've got them now.
On the GT valence, I really like them too. You can find them in parts catalogs and sometimes at swap shops for somewhere around $40. What you have to watch for is, make sure the cut outs are for exhaust and not for back up lights!

hey levi, i've never heard any of the exaust on the 200 engine except glasspacks which sounded pretty awesome but they're illegal here in Va. :(

yeah i found the rear valance with backups and the exaust cutouts for like $35 bucks in the paddock. i'm going to get that and then run the exaust so everything will line up nicely. thanks

by the way, nice car, i especially like the engine bay!
