Have a question regarding the heads

If I buy a 250 head, would it drop and bolt into an original 200 block? If it does, what would be the advantages of doing this? I'm very new to head interchanges on these engines.

I've not done it & not an expert but.....should fit. I've always thought people put heads off smaller engines on bigger blocks to get a higher comp. ratio. There could be other reasons. Just my 2cents, will be interested to hear what the experts say.

But what would be the advantages of the swap? I doubt the engine would start behaving like it got the extra 50 ci in it but I would like to know what the other advantages would be.

Cause if they are significant, I may end up buying a 250 head to do the machine work on for a 2bbl conversion while I will still be able to drive around.

You really need to get the Ford Falcon Performance Handbook from Classics Inline. Click on the 'Performance' link at the top of this page, then click on 'Classics Inline' and order it from there. The handbook is pretty much the bible of what we do here and It will tell you everything you need to know about all these things.

However, in short, the head for the 250 is a later development. It has larger intake/exhaust valves, a larger log and larger carb throat for better aspiration. It does not increase the number of cubes in your plant.

Actually, I already sent a check to CI for the handbook and I'm still waiting on it. I noticed the check cleared sometime last week and still nothing.

The problem with the small six engines is that the "breathe poorly". With the 250 head, larger valves, it will breathe better. Definitely an upgrade.
