Ok Guys where do I get head bolts to fit my Aussie 250 head on my 66 200 block. I stuck a wire down one of the holes and its about 3 1/2" to top of head. I went to Lowes and they have 3 1/2" grade 8 bolts, but the threads start about a half inch into the block. What do I do? Chevy bolt kit? Big block ford?

ARP will have studs to suit them. We have an importer here who has made up his own bolt kit by buying the bolts from ARP and packing into sets of 14.

ARP prices in the U.S are probably pretty reasonabel compared to what we pay here byt the time they are shipped to oz.

Ok, so what engine do I ask for, I can go to summitt and purchace a set for a 200cdi, but the assiue head is thicker, do I get a set for a chevy 350, a ford 250, 289, or 351, or a big block chevy?

Might be able to contact ARP's tech line.

You'll need to know the total threaded depth, the head hole depth, diameter and they should be able to help with supplying individual part numbers or correlating it to a set.

Regards, Adam.

can anyone give me some direction where to get main & head studs in oz? part numbers would be good too.

also ARP rod bolts, there is no xflow off the shelf so from memory its a 289 windsor bolt with minor mods to the rod?

any decent head machinist should be able to get you head bolts

Performance Wholesale in Slacks Creek Brisbane has the head and mains stud kits for the 250. Just ring and ask for the kit for 250.

There is no ARP part number, Performance Wholesale order them to suit.

rough indication of price for both head and main studs? do they offer discount for trade?
