Can anyone tell me what year head I have? It is on my 63 223 but is it off another engine. My block was green, the head a pale blue. The casting number on the head is C1AE 6090-D. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The casting number says it was buit in '61. In 1961 there were four different Ford Sixes in production. The 144,170, 223, and 262. The small sixes (144/170) have integral intake manifolds (non-removable). If yours can be unbolted then you have a head from either a 223 or 262. Without a little more time that's the best I can do.
