Shipping a head could cost you $60-65 each way via UPS or Fedex Ground, so add $130 to the cost of your rebuild. Them things is heavy!

If you want a rebuild, you'd be better off just having it done locally. Use the money you would have spent on shipping for bigger valves or better springs.

Thanks, They want $161 for the parts. How difficult is it to rebuild yourself? I would be willing to give it a shot.

btw talking about better springs , i did see some where there where using dubble springs? the orginal springs and some smaller inside them ?
i,m gone do a complete engine rebuild , can i get a complete engine rebuild set with stainles steel valves and high performance springs and some high performance pistons ?where to buy these piston,s? i,m thinking of buying the special deal from AZ with roller tips/ 2502V head/ headers , oilpan ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, would be better to do the headrebuild in US and with stainles steel valves, [ the bigger 1s ]
here in holland verry diffeculd to do , no parts here, so i think i gone ask AZ to do it for me . and yet coating the headers !
i do have some extra money now , and willing to spend 5000euro
so that wil gone be a engine rebuild / T5/ AZ special deal with head rebuild and my new wheels !
seems to be a lot of money , but 1/3 wil go only to shipping cost !!

Alot of the stuff they do in a rebuild can't be done yourself such as milling, magnafluxing, hot tanking adding hardened seats or larger valves. About all you can do at home is removing and installing valves and porting.

I just send mine out to a local shop and when it comes back it is ready to bolt on!

I grew up in Youngstown, not too far from Pittsburgh. There are tons of places to have it done locally. Hit a car show and ask some of the guys there who they reccomend.

By the way, the Super Nats are coming up in Youngstown. If you've never been, GO! They will blow you away. I live in SoCal and the Nats are still the best I've seen. They completely take over the town and the Friday night cruise is insane with people and cars.

OMG You grew up in Youngstown?!?! Where at? I used to live in Poland(I think it was Poland). IIRC it is close to Struthers and New Agusta (or was it Agusta?)

Poland is basically a suburb of Youngstown, along with Struthers, Boardman, Canfield, Austintown, Niles, Warren, etc. I spent five years living in Poland myself. That's where my first wife and I set up shop. I love that little town. My second wife is form SoCal so here I am.

I lived at 101 North BonAir on the west side of Youngstown. Went to Chaney High School, just like my mom. My dad grew up on the north and south side, went to Mooney High.
