I have a few ques. before I torque my head.... First, will the torque specs and sequence for a '65 200 work? Anything I should do with the rods and rocker arm assy before reinstalling? Anything else? Thanks.

Silly me... It's a 250, just making sure the 200 specs will work. Etc.

Yes, just use the 200 torque specs and sequence.

Leave the rocker arms and shaft off until the head is fully torqued. I strongly using a set of hardened washers on the head bolts - especially if you've milled the head. You can use a set of Chevy small block washers. They are cheap and easy to find at any speed shop (or machine shop.

I'd also remind you to clean the threads in the block using a bottoming tap (it has a square end to go all the way to the bottom) to get accurate torque readings.

Good Luck
