Header sound

How much would a header change the sound of a 200 with the stock exhaust system? Or a stock V8 dual exhaust?

when i first installed my header, i had it on a stock 6 system. It didn't change the exhaust note much but you could hear a little ping ping ping from under the hood. Not too much though with the stock cam and all. Then I got the super turbo and 2.25" exhaust and It was much better. Then I added the comp 260 cam and then the pings from the header started to get louder. It sounds great!

How do you like your COMP Cam 260? How does it run...smooth idle? I'm getting ready to install the one I ordered. Where you able to use the stock pushrods?

I love the 260! It made my motor sound and act like a completely new machine. The idle is a little rough if you let it run around 650rpm so i just bumped it to 700 to 750 and it smooths out a bit. And yes I was able to use the stock rods but the adj rockers were almost adjusted to the max so using longer ones probably varies from motor to motor.
