hi I just purchased a 1959 zephyr with the 155 I6 and was wondering if anyone here is familiar with these engines and if there is anything that can be done with them, I had a look around the site and couldnt find anything about them. Thanks for any help :D

i used to own a mk2,pinky and white colour.can't remember the year,it had the same engine.don't realy know much about them.maybe try a zepher/zodiac site?

Yes, I am. There is one other member here from Oz who has one. The best option is to check out some of the Kiwi Zephyr registers. The guys are nutters, so they will help out. (I'm sure your sane, really). Kiwis and Zephyrs were greatly influenced by the Zed-cars.

Any ford six responds to carb, exhast and maybee a cam change, in that order. The engine is a fairly primative, but it has a good deal going for it.

In most cases, the engine will be quite tired, but they have a heart of steel!

If you want to keep it stocks-ville, a 32/36 Weber carb works well, then some headers.

The status of unleaded fuel with the stock valves is best checked over with the engine builder. I've seen some wild triple SU conversions.
