Help me save my Autolites

I've been trying to seal up fuel leaks on my autolites and am to the point of epoxy the line adapters to the carb, but really don't want to do that. I'm not using the original fuel filters that screwed in to the carb as I'm running 3x1 and have no room, but have an inline filter else where. In the multiple removals and unsuccessful attempts to seal the adapter with ARP and Permatex thread sealants, I've lost the little metal washers/gasket that fits between carb body and adapter fitting. The carbs work great and have been rebuilt so I don't want to buy 3 rebuild kits just get this little washer. I need opinions here:

1) Can any washer be used as a gasket here?

2) Do I need this washer/gasket if I epoxy the fitting to the carb?

3) The threads on the carbs are starting to break off form overtightening. Can the top end of another 1100 be used without messing up the CFM? All my carbs are '63 vintage and match.

I'm soo close to getting this 3x1 setup in working flawlessly this is the last step before I can start fine tuning. Thanks for any help.

The washer is the seal on those, the threads are standard, not tapered like a pipe thread which is what the adapter was for.

How about trying an O-ring in place of the missing washer? Be sure to get one that is compatible with the fuel you will be using.

The tops are interchangeable. The venturi inside the carb controls the cfm, so you will be OK if you change tops.

Thanks for the replies.

I may have to try the rubber o rings, although I found 2 used washers under the needle seat on my old/parts carbs. So I may try those first, but I'm still missing 1.

You know, I looked over the Pony Carb website earlier, thinking this would be a no brainer and wouldn't you know, it says they are no longer selling parts to new customers. Only existing customers or those that purchase a carb from them.
