i am ordering new pistons for my motor , i want to be 100 percent sure that they will work before i spend $500.00+ on new pistons..i have a 300 crank and will use 240 rods, here is what i need a compression height of 1.215...close i can find for off the shelf pistons are ford 331 stroker pistons , which are 1.175 ch, only .040 difference which can be easily fixed with decking the motor a tad, with a 10.00 deck would be .038 in the hole, and still be near 11-1 depending on my head cc and head gasket i use, i found some probe and srs forged piston that have the .912 pin size,

The pistons that Clifford used to sell for a 300 with 240 rods were 1.1719 CH so at 1.175 you should be golden. It goes without saying to measure everything, including dish volumes and chamber volume, before you have the block cut.

cool beans, i will be ordering them next pay day, now if i get dome top pistons , will the dome fit the head, since the pistons are for a 90 degree v8 , i am concerned that the dome ill not fit and cause issues

On that I have no idea. Given the chamber shapes, I'd guess they might fit a 300 carby head but not fit either a 240 or EFI head.

Call the piston manufacturer and ask
