Is this possible? I was ordering some headers yesterday and the question came up whether I have a high mounted starter or low. Earlier i had checked to block casting number against the falcon performance handbook and found it was and 81 200 in a 66 mustang. according to the book, this 200 should have the low starter and the big bellhousing pattern. Well I checked anyway and was surprised to find the stater is mounter above a 2" lip flush with the bottom of the block. This is high mount right? I think the cast # is E1-BE or something close. I had wanted to use a t5 using the big bellhousing pattern but this changes everything. I'm very confused. Could I have a one of a kind 200, or did I just misread and overlook something.
Thanks,
Paul

There is an E1BE-FA casting with a high mount starter and an E1BE-BB with a low mount starter. Both were available in 1981.
