holley 2300 intake manifold for 250 head?

Yes, Yes there is.

It looks like this.
Holley-Adapter.jpg

This one is $15 from Stovebolt Engine Co. Ther are adapters available from several sources.

Some people are going argue that it does no good to feed two barrels though a one barrel hole, but the adapters do work. When you look through a carb's throttle bore there is LOTS of crap to slow the air flow. When you look at the hole through the adapter, there is nothing to interfere at all. Open holes flow more air than cluttered holes.

It would be best to use the head with the 1.75 carb intake bore rather than the 60 to 67 1 1/2 inch bore.

super expensive!!! Thanks maveric, but i am just lookin for a manifold for a 250 head, not an entire head and manifold. Will the manifold pictured bold up to a stock 250 head? Sorry for all the noob questions btw.

Scott,

What Maveric is trying to tell you is that the only way to get a seperate manifold for any of the 144/170/200/250 engines is to buy an Australian or Argentine head. They have detachable intake manifolds.

The American head has the intake log integrally cast as part of the head. the ONLY way to go from a one to a two barrel carb is with some sort of adapter.

There are other - better ways- to add the carb, but they require head removal and machining.

Good Luck

you would probably have an easier time finding an AUSTRAILIAN at a swap meet than one of those heads...
