Holley Carb Replacement

I have a 1962 Falcon Club Wagon/Econoline with a I6 170 and a Holley 1904 or maybe even a 1908 (I cannot tell the difference) with manual choke. The problem first started out with a leak on the float bowl. I had the carb rebuilt and it still leaks. The leaking problem appear to be that the float bowl is bowed/warped. I was wondering, is there another type of carb that is straight bolt on replacement that I can use?

Yes an Autolite 1100 should be direct swap there are others too that could be used if you are making other changes

Yes, there are many similar carbs that will fit, but if you have an original '62 engine you should use a carb providing the original ported vacuum signal to the '62 distributor. 'still a lot of carbs available but '62 Falcon used "Load-O-Matic" (LOM) distributor and "SCV" (spark control valve) equipped carbs like your 1904/1908. (check out the FSP / Classic Inline - Tech Pages)

... simplest is a direct "comparable" swap with another 1904/08, a little' later Ford/Autolite 1100 having the "SCV", also alternate distributor not needing SCV carbs are availble depending on your expectations...

'don't think there were any manual choke 1908's, here's 1904 < > 1908's ; obvious difference is large choke housing and squarish air horn:

before you blame it on the float bowl cover
it could be the fuel line at the line inlet dripping down the side of the carb
