how remove oil dipstick tube from 250 ci L6 block

So I was wondering how this might be accomplished.
How can I remove the dipstick tube from the block for one of two reasons:

1- I might like to tap it for a fitting for the oil to drain back from the Turbo
2- OR I might like to press in one of those fancy aftermarket dip sticks from Lokar Performance you know those ones with the braided steel tubing that can be bolted anywhere

has anyone done something like this before? is it worth the trouble? how much trouble is it?

The dipstick tube just pulls out. A good sharp pull will get it out. If it sticks, maybe give it a tap from the bottom with a punch.

I wouldn't tap the dipstick hole for a turbo return, the hole is pretty small, and almost every turbo setup I've seen has had the return fitting welded onto the pan itself. How would you check the oil if the turbo returned through the dipstick hole?

Its not very hard to have a fitting welded to the side of the pan, if you're doing a turbo small six build this will be the least of your fabrication worries.

To remove tight dipsticks, find a drill that fits into the dipstick hole as tight as possible, insert the end that goes into the drill chuck about an inch and then grab the part of the dipstick with the drill in it with a real tight vice grip plier. Pull, twist, or tap on the bottom side of the vice grip with a small hammer. This has never failed me. If you break off the dipstick, you may gain the name of dipstick for your nickname.
